Journal of Applied Neuroscience
The Society proposes to establish a journal entitled the "Journal of Applied Neuroscience" (JAN).
This will serve the burgeoning field of applied neuroscience by providing necessary focus and at the same time avoiding boundaries in journal titles that impede integration of approaches set up by restrictive labels such as 'biofeedback', 'brain mapping', etc.
The title will also capitalise on the popularity of the term 'Neuroscience' and its variants, and avoid the relative unpopularity of 'psycho'-logy related terms.
Leading scientists have expressed interest in serving on the Editorial Board.
In driving this enterprise we are pleased to be able to count on Professor John Gruzelier's experience as the founding and longest serving Co-Editor in-Chief of the International Journal of Psychophysiology, position in which he contributed from 1982 until June 2004. The journal grew from a quarterly to a monthly publication, with a submission rate continuing to rise (by 50% over the past 18 months in Europe).
Initial discussions are underway about setting up the publication of the JAN.
